advice for shooting lake powell (no pics)

I'm heading out to spend a few days at lake powell. Any advice on cool stuff to look for or shooting techniques?

A vast majority of the time we'll be on a boat, some I'm not sure what to expect.

There are plenty of rock formations that will be good subjects for you at various times of day, using the light to advantage. With a boat, you can find lots of canyons for hiking/climbing, depending on your skills. A few searches for "lake powell canyons" might help locate some you can do. If nothing else, do one or both Antelope Canyon slots just outside Page, as well as Horseshoe Bend a few miles south of Page.

Depending on where you will be staying, there may be some other ideas.
