So I received my lil Canon A560 from Amazon two days ago. It's to be my "going out" camera so I expect it to be subjected to much rumble and tumble . . .
After taking a few random shot around my apartment, I decide to inspect/clean it after leaving my grimy fingerprints all over the thing. Lo and behold I discover a visible SCRATCH on the tiny little lens. It doesn't affect the pictures, but I paid for a brand new camera so I kind of expected such . . . know what I mean?
How can that be?! I bought it brand new off of Amazon! I mean the UPS did once again toss the thing over my six foot fence onto the concrete patio (my roommate and I have concluded he simply no longer knocks any more - just drops the packages into my patio!), but it seems highly unlikely that something like that would've caused the tiny scratch on the lens.
Anyway, I emailed Amazon and they are sending a new one on the way and I sent back the "defective" one today.
Has this ever happened to anyone? Does this happen commonly?
