Hi all,
Need some ideas here. I have had a 10D for over a year and recently it has developed a dust like mark on the image at about the centre line of the image 1/6th the way in from the RHS. I have had loads of dust previously but it has always been blown free or able to be removed with a sensor swab. This time no such luck. It exhibits the same caharaecteristics as a dust mark but it is not visible on the sensor, i.e. it is worse the smaller the aperture.
I have noticed that the sensor seems to have a mark on it that looks like a highlight in that it seems to reflect light differently to the surrounding area. However the interesting point is that it is located on the sensor in the same place as the blob appears in the image - i.e. when viewed from the front of the camera - it is central RHS - not the reverse that you would expect.
Any thoughts?
