I am just about to embark on a mega lens and filter cleaning spree. Would really appreciate any tips. I must confess I come from the blow, breath and wipe school. I know it’s not very scientific so any recommendations for products or processes would be gratefully received.
Cheers

Jessops large lens cloth and learn to breathe heavily. I use a blower to clear the dust first. Never had a single scratched lens in 25+ years.
I don't like using lens cleaning fluids as they always seem to leave the lens with streaks that were not there when I started.

I also have one of those "lens cleaning pens". They do a good job. Haven't managed to scratch my lenses either (only one UV filter when my brother threw a penny in it  )

I use 40% of pure ethyl alcohol from my uni lab 99.9999999 or something purity level  and 60% of same purity water. :D
And an ear cotton swab. Before I apply the lens cleaner, I blow all the dust off with a 50 ml syringe.
Edit: I do have an Optex cleanin pen. I don't use it anymore. It has dried out after about a month and for some reason I don't like using the same material for more than 2-3 swipes on my precious babies. Wasted 12 bucks...
