OK guys, this amateur photographer needs some advice from the pros on what I should get next. I have $175 to spend at BH and this is what I am thinking of getting.
1. Sekonic L-358 Light Meter (recommended by a friend) - for better EV readings
Canon 50mm 1.8 II Lense - for the low light.
I have a 500EX Flash, 17-40L F/4 and a 28-200 F/3.5-5.6 lenses - so I think that these two items will complement my equipment.
What do you guys think?
Mike.

$175 won't get you the light meter at B&H. Might try E-bay for something like a Minolta IVf. I got one there and have found it very valuable, especially with multiple flashes and manual flash mode (I've about given up on the 10D ETTL metering--can't get consistent results).
The lens choice is a good one also, and will leave you a $100 or so to spare. Got mine a few months ago. Have not used it a lot, but I've been impressed with it when I have. Not so much for the low light capability, but for its overall sharpness.
Do you have a decent tripod yet. Might look into that as a future buy also.

Got the bag, got a Manfrotto tripod. I don't mind adding additional funds from my wallet, just seeing if there is anything else I should get?
Thanks for your input.

get me a gift certificate . . .
Hahaha - sorry all gone.
I ended up getting the light meter, the 50mm lense, a lense cleaning kit and the Giottos Rocket Blower (cause that looks really cool, as well as being useful).
Thanks guys for all your help.
Mike.
