After 120 years in one place today the club moved to a new marina.
Lead out from the old marina by the club Commodore

Ok I had a play. I will play the crop game since I know there was too much empty space in the shot

Well there you go, I didn;t know they were being moved.
Heck I though those old boats and sheds were the main reason for the massive cost of lever bridges for rail and road currently being built.
Those bridges are going to make for interesting pictures when they open.

I was hoping the new bridges were not to open. :(
Atleast with the yacht club out side there's much less reason for them to open thus holding up dozens of people for one small boat with 3 people onboard.
Damn sorry RANT over. Guess I been caught here a few too manytimes over the last 20 plus years.
The new bridges are apparently opening to facilitate the Navy visiting the Port.
Maybe now they will surface teh old bridge with something requiring much less maintenace

I'm with you on every RANT point...being going over that old bridge for about 20 years myself.
Oh and if anyone is interested you can see the old girl open in the background of Pete's picture, the Birkenhead Bridge is a story all by it's self.

Nice shot Pete. I like the open bridge in the background too. Lots happening down the old Port these days.
