I don't find anything wrong with having a blog. Almost everyone does now. I think it is a good way to connect with people. When my site is finally up and running it will have a blog too.

I started doing it. Content must keep in tune with you website's goal, commercial or personal etc.

The blog looks good although it is very slow to load from here (might be an issue with blogspot). If you want to keep the blogging up you might want to take a look at WordPress and incorporate it all into your site.

My new website is a blog with a photo gallery backend - keeps people up to date with what I have been shooting recently but allows them to go through all the galleries I have online.

On the subject of blogging - do any of you use blog link/rating sites such as Technorati, Blogarama, del.icio.us, digg, photoblogs.org or coolphotoblogs?
