I did senior pictures for a girl and she would like to use 1 of the photos in a book she is writing and its being published. I need a basic forum for her to use the photo but not a full copyright release just permission. Since its going beyond "personal use" to commercial use I need something that will protect me but let her use the photo.

Just word the release that you grant her a license to use the photo one time for publication and name the book. Maybe put in it the number of books to be published. I would also make sure that you get credit under the image (name and website)
Hopefully a copyright lawyer can will supply an answer.
