Nice pair of baby Blues

Had a couple baby Blue Heron’s hanging around our house for a month or so. We would see them on the roof or in the tree out front almost every day. It was very interesting to see them learn to fly. Not the most graceful to say the least.

These are Green Herons and beautiful shots of them too. We had a lot of them around, but I never saw a juvie. They are cool birds, having them around must have been fun. :)

Very nice shots. They don't look especially sleek at this stage, what with the head hair sticking up all over.

Thanks for straightening me out. Neither I nor my neighbors had seen the greens around before. The adult blues are a common site on the other hand. We had three hanging around the house; however, on this day we only saw the two.
