My son will be the Prince in a regional Beauty & the Beast musical. I took this siloughette to put on an advertisement poster. What do you think and which adaption do you prefer?

I prefer the second... but overall I think too much beauty and not enough beast. More beast!

First.
Needs a bit more black though.

I'd go with the first as is... very romantic!

What was your lighting setup?

Like # 1 with one caveat...I don't like the shape of the blur at the bottom of the frame. Not sure what would be better, though.

Do you mean the 18 year-old beauty and her big hair overshadows my skinny 16 year-old son?

First.

Hmmmm! Like the second one?

Lighting: a strobe on each side of a white sheet bg at full strenth; ISO 100, f13, 1/125, 50mm.

Let me think about that one.

Thanks all so much for your input!

More like this:

Bit of curves, to get more black, brighten shadows and overall image and remove the yellow cast in the shadows. (which would obviously be easier with the original file at hand)
It's a bit too magenta / red now.

You also need to work on the mask a bit: In the left image in the OP there's a bit of dress (?) sticking out behind her elbow.

i would vote for a mid point of the two. :)
