Hi guys,
I'm a beginner to SLR (or DSLR) photography, but I'm willing to learn. A couple of weeks ago I created a handle here, and told you guys that I'm embarking on that long (and expensive trek) down learning (digital) photography.

I've put up a small sample gallery on:
http://rommae.smugmug.com

A lot of those are just snapshots of friends and family (the starting point) but there are some I think are fairly good for a first-timer.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks guys!

Thanks Olegis!
I'm pretty new to taking photography seriously (I've taken countless snapshots in the past, some with decent results, others not so decent like countless others).

Now that I'm starting to process the images myself as well (I'm shooting in RAW and getting addicted to it, and starting to slowly see the power of Photoshop).

I've got a huge question however, how do you guys set up your color matching between the camera -> monitor -> printer. I've got a Photosmart 7960 and it prints beautiful 8x10s and 4x6s (has a gray cartridge so B&W comes out nice as well), but my monitor and my printer are definetely not calibrated. What's the best way to get them in synch?

Thanks again!
