Has anyone used this lens? It seems like a great deal at $220. I looks to be a wide angle lens. Would this be a good lens for taking macro pictures?

I don't know the lens, but it's not a real macro lens. According to the description, the "reproduction ratio" is 1:2.9. Real macro lenses have a magnification of 1:1, which means that a subject of 1 cm will be projected on your sensor at a size of 1 cm.
Also, for macro photography, you don't want a wide angle lens like this one, because you'd have to get very close to the subject, which can be a problem: with insects you'll scare them away, and probably you'll be struggling to not let your own shadow come into the image.
