Do any of you use the Sigma 120-300 f/2.8 for Little League, Softball and football (up to high school level)? I've been using the Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 but sometimes I need more. It's OK during the day with the 1.4x TC, but night football left me short on the long end.
The purchase would be a big deal so it's left me undecided on what to do. I shoot with a 20d.
I know it's heavy so I would be shooting from a monopod most of the time.
I'd like to hear your thoughts and experience, good or bad.
Thanks
Mike

I just got it in a couple weeks ago for soccer and volleyball. Unfortunately my body is out for servicing and I can't try it out! My first copy front focused pretty bad but sigma4less took good care of me. My current copy is good as I was able to use my SD card in the Mark II to get some sample shots. Perfect wide open at 120 and 300.
IF you do get a bad copy, exchange it. And remember one thing...

You get insurance and everything included in the price as long as it's packaged right.
There's a fella who complained about spending 250 bucks for shipping and insurance to Sigma to calibrate the lens to the body. This would have cost about 50 dollars with registered mail.
I will say it's worth every penny and I'd suggest purchasing through Sigma4less.
