I attach some pictures from a recent fair in Sheffield (UK). There was various battle re-enactments such as Roman, American Civil War and World War 2.

The images have been converted to B/W and toned, I have also added noise and tried to give them a dated look.

All images taken with 30D + 17-85 + 70-210 (3.5/4.5).

Some very cool captures you have there, sheddy. The treatment you gave the conversions looks good.

I guess in an avantgarde sort of way, war (simulated in this case) is a performing art. Albeit a grim one.

Thanks for the comments, I wasn't sure which category to put it in. I chose this one because it was a 'show'.

I don't seem to be able to embed the images, anyone point me in the right direction on this one?

Nice series - look just like they came out of 1944.

Excellent, looks like they belong in a history book!

Thanks for the comments.

The colour images seemed to lack something i.e. they looked like a staged event. I tried to make them look more authentic.
