D300 Rebel error msg Help!

after many months of no problems I have one! This morning when I powered on my DRebel I received "Error 02". The manual says that this indicates a problem with the CF card. I tried everything with the card and then replaced it with another. Same thing: Error 02.

Could be a problem with the card slot. Try using a blower to clean it out. Then make sure that the card is seated properly in the slot and shut the door.
If still no joy, then get a flsahlight and see if you can see the pins in the bottom of the slot. See if any are bent.

It may need to go back to canon if it persists.

Thanks for the response. What you said is exactly what Canon said when I finally called them. They said that if no bent pins were showing that I would have to send it in.

However, I then went back to my dealer and they replaced the camera. Isn't that great!

Having same problem with Err 02 message. I see a bent pin in my camera but not sure of the best way to straighten it out . . . any suggestions?
