Ok..am I a dork? I'm really having trouble removing my polorizing filters. I always tried to get them straight etc..any suggestions? I'm afraid to force them..
Also, I have tried for 3 nights to get a decent shot of the moon but I have decided my lense (Quantaray 70-300 LD) just sucks..Since i'm still learning all about lenses etc this lense must be on the low scale?? Or is it the photographer? LOL

You may have inadvertantly cross threaded the filter. Using one of those rubber jar lid grips, slowly try to work it off (you are turning it to the left to loosen, right? :D ). If you did cross thread, you may have some thread damage if you try to force it. If you can't seem to make it move, I would take it into your local camera dealer and ask their assistance.
Quantaray 75-300 may not be one of the best lenses made but you should be able to get some satisfactory shots, particularly with apertures toward the f/8 area and the focal length not at the far end. What exactly is the issue with your pictures?

Because they use a very fine pitch thread, filters can become very difficult to remove if they've been over-tightened. A filter wrench will normally loosen it, and your camera shop should have the size you need.
