Is there any reason to save these files after you move the pictures to your computer?

I delete them after I've processed the RAW. I don't see much need for them myself (for MY workflow anyway)

I think they're only used for previewing the pictures on the camera's screen. I just copy everything from the memory card. The .thm files are very small in size.

i never even saw the thm files when i used to plug the camera directy into my computer but since using an xdrive or card reader i now get them.
one thing i have noticed they do - they speed up the file brower in photoshop cs a LOT, try yourself on a folder with thm's and a folder without.

As Roger points out, there are 2 main reasons to keep the THM files: Faster generation of previews & complete EXIF data. I keep them because they are small (compared to CRWs) & it's an extra step to delete them. Also, if you use BreezeBrowser, it handles the THM & CRW as a unit -- performing operations (such as renaming or moving them) on both together seamlessly.
