580EX question

When you put a 580EX with a 420Ex and a 430EX, where do they have to be in relation to each other in order to trigger?

The diagram is not to scale - I have the 420EX way too close to the subject. Would the 420 and 430 fire?

As a user of the ST-E2 which I think uses the same technology to fire the slaves as the 580ex does (I could be wrong here) - You can pretty much have them anywhere. I've had them hidden behind a box pointing up and they still fire.

Assuming indoors? They will probably all fire without problem. Using the 580EX as the master as opposed to the ST-E2 helps a bunch.

To increase success I generally make sure the red receiver on the slave flash is pointing at the master as much as possible.
