I currently have a small lowepro camera bag, it was ok when i first got started, but now its too small for my current set up.

Could someone please recommend me a camera bag that could accomodate for a 400D + grip and a 24-70L with hood attached. In the future I hope to get a 70-200 so i would like something that could cater for such an upgrade. Id prefer to have a shoulder bag, and the crumplers and domke bags seem to have my attention, but im not sure which one to go for.

Please advise. Thanks

Have a look at http://cambags.com/.

I prefer:
Billingham,

Domke,
Crumpler (in that order).

So we're taking camera w/ grip and one lens attached with the possibility for a 70-200. I'd say Crumpler 6MDH just because the 24-70 is big. The 400D is smaller and 20D fit fine, no grip, but the area it was laid in. 5MDH should work, 6 would just be perfect with the possibility of a flash.

cambags is great. I need to get my reviews on there for the Crumplers. My view is found on the same page as my 7MDH in my sig.

Lowepro Stealth Reporter series. These are expandable by virtue of the loops on the exterior which take the Lowepro external lens cases and accessory cases, so would be suitable for growing needs for a while. I like the external lens cases because I place my most frequently used lenses externally so that I don't have to open the main compartment and fish out a lens that is frequently in use.

That's why I prefer Billingham and Domke: So much easier to work out of. ;)

Ditto. No problem getting my lenses, or anything else, out.

I use a Lowepro Stealth Reporter 650 AW to store and carry my 20D attached to any one of the three lenses I use - the 16-35 f/2.8L, 24-70 f/2.8L, and 70-200 f/2.8L IS (all Canon, of course) - and the three lenses all with hoods mounted. Only the 70-200 hood needs to be reversed in the bag.

There's also room for a lot of smaller items - flash, meter, cleaning accessories, batteries, charger, etc. - in addition to my full-sized gray card and color reference card (in the slot intended for a notebook computer).

I don't use any external cases for anything.

The case is extremely easy to use. All lenses are readily available without moving anything out of the way to get at them.
