Not the best thing I have ever shot but fun to play with different techniques. This was done in camera, not PS although I think you can create a similar effect there. Any thoughts on this or other techniques worth experimenting with?

I used to love the in camera effect. I've now switched to doing post processing only. Looks good either way, but the shots I usually do might require one without zoom so I create one with zoom and leave one alone.

That might be fun to play with (layers). Thanks Jason. THis one was handheld just screwing around. I think a good tripod would make it easier too.

Don't forget spinning the camera during an exposure. A slight twist is all you need. Combine twist and zoom for even another effect.

^lol

I can see a difference from in camera and PP. Also when In camera, it's easier to not overdo it as with PP one tends to get creative and go wild. I can only manage to o in camera though late in low light. Slow shutter in bright daylight is hard to compensate. Guess I could raise the AP, but then you'd see the dust. :p

I invested in some Cokin Neutral Density filters, a four and an eight stop. Perfect when you have nowhere else to go than a smaller aperture.

Cool examples Jason, when I remember the trick when I'm out and about shooting it usually isn't until I'm all done a shoot. I need to get into the habit of going out, getting the shot and then playing around with a bunch of variables.

col stuff guys. never thought of the twist, I'm definitely putting that one to the test this weekend. Jason, those shots are fantastic (and those guys are mental that run those bikes...blue groovin baby!). Nate, I know what you mean about overdoing things...it's usually just after you think it's perfect that just one more little tweak and.....#$%!@#
