The first is hanging upside down with the neck resting on a twig from the tree, not sure what it has in it's mouth... the second is the classic pose...steve

Nice shots Steve! They look about the size of our Red-breasted Nuthatches in the East.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and comments...They sure are a cute little bird. Mitch, I don't think that's a berry, it would be light blue or purple in color...might be some kind of egg sack...not sure...steve
