Hey guys,

Just wanted to share some pics of some old cameras my aunt and uncle got for me recently. I've always wanted to collect old camera gear so my aunt and uncle always keep an eye out when they go to garage sales.

I don't know too much about them yet, but that's part of the fascination I guess...finding them, then learning about how they work.

If anyone has any info about these cameras please feel free to share.

The one on the left is a camera from 1914, not sure what type of camera you would call it? A box camera perhaps? There is a faint stamp embossed on it and I can make out some letters that kind of look like Kodak.

The one in the middle is one I've wanted for awhile. It's a Crown Graphic made by Graflex I believe ( i still need to look into this one). It has a lens aperture of f4.7 and can zoom out to 100mm...yup that's right a zoom lens! ha..ha...h.a..!

The one on the right is a Kodak Duaflex III.

Camera at 100mm , the knobs at the end of the base is what controls the zooming :)

The view finder is on the top of the camera so you are looking down...here's the view.

Serious flashback! I use to use that exact same grip on my Nikon F.

I love that Crown Graphic camera too. I never used one of them as they were before my time. I find it amazing that the lens has 10 aperture blades and today we think a lens is great of it has 7 or 8 for those perfect OOF highlights.

Nice collection you have going here!

Here's a link to the Crown graphic camera, apparently a very popular press camera. It's quite an interesting read. http://www.largeformatphotography.info/cameras/pacemaker/

I'd certainly take that crown graphic off your hands if it takes up too much space... These days its basically the 4x5 camera for beginners.

you will have fun with those. for a while i tried getting my little one to work, and it just wasnt going to happen.:( i guess something is broken in it. but luckily i only paid 4 dollars for it in an antique store. woo hoo.

i still like it to sit up on my shelf though with some other cameras that i have. i would love to get one that works, and be able to find film for it. but i would probably have to take a class again or something.

I recently sold my Crown Graphic and roll film backs to a collector. I hated to part with it but I haven't had it out of the case in ten years. Nice collection.
