I have about $1,400. I would like to start studio photography. I need a good back round, about 10 feet long by 8 ish feet tall. I also need some strobe lights, what all is recommended?

thanks

go to www.alienbees.com and grab two B800's, two 13' heavy duty stands, a large foldable softbox, a 48" silver/white umbrella, and a radio trigger set (the $80 set). Worked awesome for me.

Then, at www.bhphotovideo.com, get these items.

Those are black and white, they generally "do it all", give or take. I used gels with the white for most color needs. Much cheaper than multiple muslins.

support system (one of the most rugged I've ever seen)

I think that's about it. Light meter if you want, but not necessary.

That should bring you to around $1200-1300.
