Hello everyone I'm new!:)
The first thing I need is to have your feedback on a BIG problem I have ... I just erased my camera's memory card (I don't know how) and I had about 200 pictures from a recent trip to Senegal. Is there any way I can get them back? Thanks for the info ..

Yes. First of all do NOT use the card.

Then go get the free software PC Inspector. This software can recover deleted files provided you have not written anything to the card.

There are also other applications that can do this. If above does not work you can search in google using "recover deleted files".

If you buy SanDisk Extreme cards you will also get freee software for recoevery of files.

And welcome to the forum. Nikon users are very welcome too even if the forum is Canon specific. You probably won't find much use in the equipment forums unless you plan on switching to Canon ;-)

I’ll second the recovery program that comes with Sandisk CF cards. Easy to use and it will even locate long deleted pics.

tommykjensen is right - DO NOT use the card.

I would like to add - make an image of the card. So you have image of your card just like it was after the incident saved safely on your drive.

Then, you can use either something like FreeUndelete (http://recovery-review.com/undelete-tools/freeundelete-2-0-0635.html) to try to undelete files, or you can try shareware DiskInternals Flash Recovery (http://recovery-review.com/flash-disk-recovery/diskinternals-flash-recovery-2-6.html) (or any other application from Flash Recovery section here (http://recovery-review.com)) to pull out all photographic data from the card.

Good luck!
