I know this is my first post but, just had to report that I got my first L lens today. The Canon 70-200 f/4L and I will try to test it out soon to see what all it can do. Here is a picture of it.

I have this lens, and it is one of my favorites. I actually will use it instead of the f/2.8L IS if I'm sure I won't need the extra speed. It is amazingly sharp. Good luck with it.

Well, I had some money saved to spend on it. Heard so many good things about it that I had to have it. It is a tricky lens and I will have to figure out how to use it as blinking8s said.

What's tricky about it? I'll probably be picking up one of these lenses myself in the next week or so.

I'm kind of curious as to what the tricky part is as well, I was thinking about this lens...

Congrats! A wonderful lens - I haven't had any problems with it at all. Fantastic optics and sharp images, nothing tricky about this lens, stick it on the front of your camera and shoot away!

Post some sample images soon!

Pick up one of the Canon Black Tripod Rings for $89 ... $30 cheaper than the white and to me actually looks better.

I will try to test it out soon to see what all it can do. It's great for close-ups, too. Nice working distance. I used it with a fill flash here.
