Was just showing some pics of a specific lens, thats why I chose to post it here. I am sure if the moderators want it moved, they wont ask for my OK to move it.

If I'm not mistaken, you've oversharpened the pics..could you post the originals?

I have to agree with the previous comment, you have ruined the first 3 images, they have been oversharpened waaaay too much. The last two although better are still to sharp as all the objects have a white outline around them.

The first 3 were taken at ISO 800 because it was getting pretty dark and I was handholding the camera. This could be part of the problem. I resized using bicubic sharpen twice, then used unsharp mask once to get them as sharp as possible.
I am not so sure that there is a perfect degree of sharpening. You could be right about them being over sharpened but I have seen way too many pics that are under sharpened too, this could possibly be a preference thing.

I agree.
There is a free Adobe Photoshop plugin that sharpens your image without really ruining it..the name escapes me, but I'll try to find it for you by tomorrow..
When I first got my 10D, I also oversharpened my pics, until someone on this MB guided me to that plugin.

I'd be interested in knowing about the plug in.

OK, I think I've found it:

I have version 7, and I'll be trying v8 when I get home...follow the link to download the Midtone Sharpen action set..
It IS free, only make a payment if you can afford donating to the person responsible for the set...
Hope it helps.

I've been using FM's Intellisharpen and 10D-ISOR.
How does it compare?
