I am probably asking for lots of abuse with this one, but I have a couple of questions for the general population out there. Today I received my 10D, so my D60 is going into back-up status, what I would like to know is, has anyone that has a 10D set the color space to Adobe RGB? The book says "When images captured with Adobe RGB are displayed on an sRGB-based LCD monitor, video monitor, or printed with an sRGB printer, the resulting image will look to have low chroma. The chroma must therefore be adjusted beforehand." Has anyone actually seen this? I am not here to discuss the pro's and con's of Adobe RGB vs sRGB, so lets not go there. Next with my D60 I shot ever picture in RAW mode (if you have to ask why you wouldn't understand), but I see that with the 10D that you can only use RAW mode in what Canon calls the "Creative Zone". Not really sure I like this, but then I don't use the "Basic Zone" much if at all.

The description in the manual is a bit strange. It sounds like the people who wrote the manual don't even know what Adobe RGB is !! Yes, if you view an Adobe RGB image in an application that does not (properly) support colour management, the colours will look flat and dull - but if you do that, you're not using it the way it's supposed to be used.
Only set it to Adobe RGB if you know what you're doing and use software that knows how to deal with colour management properly.
RAW is only possible in the Creative Zone modes (P, Tv, Av M) on the 10D. As far as I know, this is the same with all Canon cameras that support RAW. Is the D60 different?? I have never used anything else than the Creative Zone modes on my 10D. I'm using Av and M most of the time.

Yes on the D60 if you set it to RAW mode that is all it uses, no matter what "zone" you use. As for the blurb in the manual about the chroma thing, well APCS is set with the default color space to Adobe RGB, so I don't think there witll be any issue there, but time will tell once I get some time to take out my camera and get some decent pictures to experiment with.

I agree with Montyl. My D60 shows RAW, no matter which mode it is in.
