View Full Version : Purple Finch - House Finch - Both

Been waiting for the male Purple Finches to get here. The females have been here for weeks and made themselves to home quick. I was wondering if I would recognize the male Purple Finches when they got here, but it's obvious once you see them next to a House Finch male. :)

They look alike to me...nice shots, though.

Thanks Karen. The Purple Finch has the brown patches behind the ear and red on the top of his tail. The House Finch Doesn't. :)
