I managed to find a couple hours in my schedule to get out and shoot this a week ago. Finally got around to playing with it in photoshop. This is kind of what I had in mind when I took the picture. I'm not sure what I think of it, yet...but I keep looking at it for ways to improve...What do you guys think?

I like this, almost like a dream, how did you get this effect?

Thanks!
I basically added some contrast, colour overlay, and noise to the image overall. Then I created a selection around the girl and and tried a whole bunch of stuff (blur, smudge, noise, etc.). It's a lot of fun playing with blend modes!

I like everything about the effects except the girl. she draws your attention away from the rest of the photo. And you did a great job creating the overall photo effects.

That's interesting - I think the girl makes the picture. I think I'd like it better if she was barefoot and wearing something that made it harder to tell what time she lives in.

I totally agree with the barefoot idea. I actually had that thought cross my mind when I was processing the image. I really wish she was barefoot Next time, I'll try to think ahead!
Thanks for the comments, guys!
