I've never done a b/w portrait before. It was processed b/w in camera. And the objective was to get a tight shot. I'm not sure whether this is any good or not so any c/c would be welcome. Thanks.

Very sharp which is good. could use some more contrast or more pronounced shadows/highlights. :-D overall good first try. :-D

Thanks AlphaChicken. I have another shot with the same model and more contrast. The composition doesn't use shadow very creatively.

Hmm Im having a hard time deciding which one I like more. The added contrast in the second definately helps, but I do kind of like the steel gray color/tone of the eyes in the first one. Also like the beard/five 0'clock shadow in the first one. I dunno. :)
