scott,
your site looks good. personally, i like that its contained within the dimensions of the browser window so there's no scrolling involved. the only suggestions i would make are:
- set up your gallery so the viewer can navigate through the images at their own pace. you don't necessarily need thumbnails but people will want to click past some images quickly and spend more time with others.
- for your "rates", i'd use a slightly smaller font size and space the lines a bit more. maybe you could also have a short block of text that explains what scenerio determines the starting prices and the things that would increase the price.
- i'd use a black background on the "contact" page for design continuity

Nice work, I think for a photography website/portfolio, flash is the way forward.
I think the navigating through the pictures was bit of a pain but I figured it out in the end.
I used a free flash template for the site I am redesigning, maybe you can get some ideas from it

yea the pictures are going to change and there will be thumb nails for them so you navigation of the pictures will be easier. This is just a basic preview.
