He seemed to put on a show, bigger and bigger bubbles. Three different sequences of them.
The other bug, not so clear, was on a Pittosporum Tree.

Excellent bubble blower capture :)
The other bug is a lacewing larvae - the smaller larval stages like camouflaging themselves with debris.

Thanks for the info and the feedback. I did wonder if bug two was an immature something but would never have guessed it was deliberate debris on it's back. Very interesting info.

Excellent bubble in the first shot and great capture of the lacewing larve in the second.

Love the first shot of the bubble blower! Nice and crisp in the facial region. Sounds like you had fun with these shots.

#1 is very nice Sue. I wish someone could explain why bees and flies blow bubbles.:confused:

Well it looked to me just like someone amusing themselves with bubble gum. It wasn't near any type of food, just warming itself in the morning sun. Until I checked out this forum I had no idea flies blew bubbles.
