Hi,
Been shooting last week here in Lieksa for the Brass Week PR and opened a gallery http://www.lieksabrass.com/gallery/list.php?exhibition=55
Lens data is not updated yet, most is with 70-200 as written, but 17-40/4 and 85/1.2 was used a lot, too.
I'll add few more shots tomorrow, there is competition finals still to do.
This has been a great test for Mark II and I'll write about how it went and what was good and what bad when I get back to Helsinki. I've had to shoot some extremely difficult shots like http://www.lieksabrass.com/gallery/photo.php?photo=3200 and all the events have been in very difficult lighting situations. All were shot in RAW (thank god!) and converted with Etcetera profile and C1 Pro.
All comments are welcome!

Very nice pics as always. Are you a brass player?
The photos on the river rapids, you had an
external flash on, right? What precautions did
you take not to get your equipment wet? I
remember being in a similar situation, and
didn't know what to do -- so I just put the
camera away.

Neat photos but I have one little question. Why does that guy have a gun in his mouth  :?

No, I play Double-bass. The artistic director Jouko Harjanne (top trumpet soloist in the world and my friend) invited me to shoot the event. It is sometimes hard to listen to brass music for over a week :) but then again all the people there is really nice and it is interesting to attend concerts and lessons.

I had 550EX on, and I actually wanted to test how it handled water - I worked for a while and then water condensated in and few buttons refused to work - also the water on the flash meter sensors made it shoot full power all the time :) But I got the shots.
I shot it with 17-40 with filter on which means the camera system was fully waterproof, and I had 85/1.2 inside a bag in dual plastic bag setup.

It is a piece played with the gun with trumpet mouthpiece and in the end the gun is loader and fired. Basically anything pipe-like can be played with a mouthpiece.

Now there's someone who needs to be careful he keeps his workflow straight!
