Hi!
I have a S40 since a short time and I would like to know, if there is a way to use the S40 as a WEBCAM too?
Please let me know!
Thank you in advance!

You can get a detailed answer by clicking the Search link at the top of the page and entering "webcam" as the criteria.
The short answer is that you can do it using the video out port if you have a video capture card on your computer, but you'll be limited to three minutes before the camera shuts down due to inactivity.

Yea, I asked this question a few months ago and didn't really get an answer that told me yes so when you do that search you will probably come across it. I have a S30 myself.

Try looking at Remote Capture
http://www.breezesys.com/products.html#remotecapture
This may do what you want. If there are any programmers out there in 'c' language who would be interested in using the Canon SDK to develop a solution let me know.
