I went to watch 1 of my sons play cricket today. First game of the year and they won :).

Haha brings back memories. we played our first game of the season yesterday and i clocked a guy in the head twice( 1 was intentional second was his fault) THANK GOD FOR SUMMER:D:D:D

Excellent timing, love to see it front on but they always seem to be batting at the wrong end when this stuff happens! Where do u shoot from? I try to be as close to end on as possible, probably 15 metres to one side.

I usually stand or sit around the same area as you...mid off/mid on area but I like to walk around as well and look for clean backgrounds hoping to catch a late cut shot ...
but you're right ... I seem to be always in the wrong position for when something happens..
got a shot of a run out ( direct hit from fine leg ) keeper and batsman ,ball and stumps all in shot but was not expecting it and it OOF...nextime
