I got up early Sunday morning to try out my new 17-40L lens - my first L....! Drove about 5 miles to my local river - The Boyne. It was a really foggy morning when i spotted a shot just as the sun came up above the clouds on the horizon. Problem is I couldnt get it like i wanted it as the 17-40 was too wide. I tried my 50mm - no still couldnt get it. Then i tried my Sigma 105mm Macro.... PERFECT. I fired off a few RAW shots (as i wasnt sure about the white balance) and couldnt wait to get home to process them....!

OK they are not as sharp as they would be with an L lens but with the mist that was out so shapness was not what i wanted.
I later took a few in my home town of Drogheda with the 17-40 that look very dramatic.... have a look over here... i would love to hear your opinions.
