i been feeding this guy for 3 days now..every time at about 3pm hes buzzing around this table i have looking for food..:lol: i been puting down a small blob of maple syrup and yesterday i got the shot i was looking for..could of been a bit sharper so il try again today..heres the shot i got.

Nice shot mj, I tried the syrup thing a few weeks ago. All I got was ants.:rolleyes:

not many wasps around this year and they seem jumpy. Great detail on the mouth parts, doubt you can get much sharper.

true..looking at it now the shot isnt to bad,,i just got back from shooting..i got some more shots of him...this time i put a shiny knife down and got his reflection on it..il resize them in a bit...very hot today in west country..

u are right..because a hornet got him self stuck and was a right mess..i thought noooo so i poured water on him a few times.that seemed to sort him out and after about 10 mins of cleaning him self in the water he flew off..now i make sure the syrup isnt to thick..i put down a thin layer this way even if the do land on it which they did today they can fly off easy..

WARNING - DONT PUT 1 INCH THICK LAYER OF SYRUP:D
