I like them both, with a couple minor points.

I don't like the buildings leaning on the first one, but there might not be much you can do - either the buildings lean, or the fountain thing leans.

On the second, the underside of the roof is far too dark. Some type of Shadow Recovery would be nice there.

But I like the effect and the colors.

I like the pictures too, very pleasing, but as Scottes, I dislike leaning buildings or whatever else - and most notably leaning water surfaces.

Of course there are means to put them straight. In Paint Shop Pro 8, there are the on-board tools Picture/rotate and Effects/geometric/horizontal/vertical. Better results (for mathematical reasons) you get with Panotools as plug-in in any editor.

You go to this link to see the result:

I didn't worry about details, just the principle. It takes some experimenting to balance the options. Crop to get rid of the black segments.
You change the number 04 in the link to 01 or 02 to see more examples.

The full story you find here - if you want to go that far:
http://homepage.hispeed.ch/flowe/digifoto/panotls/index.htm
including the link to the Panotools files.

:) Hope that helps - flowe

That's in Singapore, right? Think one or two of those buildings is the hotels I stayed at when there. :) I like the colours. Different.

I like this type of shot and i have been experimenting using a Hoya filter but cannot get this type of clarity

Could you post your method and settings

Cheers

I really like number one. It needs to be levelled out more, though. It's not only the buildings leaning, but the water is not parallel to the horizon, either,
which makes the buildings' leaning even more noticeable.
