Plug In?

I have downloaded a sharpening plug in, can someone tell me how to install it and use it? I have never used one before. Thanks

If it's just a single file with the extension .8bf, exit PS, copy this file to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CS\Plug-Ins and then start PS again.

Otherwise, it depends, and there should be instructions or an install program.
