One song rule in force to shoot one of my all time favourite songwriters, Nick Cave on Saturday night. Wasn't allowed to shoot Grinderman (Cave's rock band) but did squeeze into a very narrow pit for these.

Slightly odd crop in #3, and *very* 'blocked up' blues...
Apart from that: Some nice shots for the circumstances.

At least they weren't red lights given that the song was Red Right Hand.

God, how I hate one song rules! I'll probably have that crap with B. B. King this week! I'm thinking maybe I'll just put my 400mm f/2.8 with a 1.4TC on it and shoot from the light board! Sheesh, what is their problem?

I have no idea what their problem is Dwight... and I found out at the show that night I could have had full access to them all week beforehand in a rehearsal studio... oh well them's the breaks.

Rene - funny thing is The Age (www.theage.com.au) wanted the funny crop to run in the paper tomorrow.

i find that the 30D/ACR handles reds better than blues. it seems very easy to clip blue channels and get tons of noise in the process. i guess this is where i should learn DPP for those conversions.

since my work filter blocks flickr, i'll have to give C+C later. bummer about the 1 song/no Grinderman, though. damn.
