Finally was able to actually play with the new lens and I'm very happy. Was a bit unsure selling the 70-200 F4 but my luck continues with the Sigma EX series. Shot with my new to Sigma 100-300. Decided to give it bit of sepia feel over the color version.

C&C always welcomed, hope you like the framing and conversion.

very nice job, I find that the line across the top of the photo just past the mast to be distracting though, but you need the height to balance th ocean in the foreground of the yacht.

Hi Folks

I like the horizon line as it is, not too sure about the title though!
The guy piloting the boat sounds doomed!!

rgs Will.

Thank you for the comments. I think you are correct with the title, I actually was meaning more of 'Solitude' which may be more appropriate title. Yeah after looking up abyss it is dismal and doomed sounding, I am going to correct that, thanks Will.

With the sail up, it would have been a top picture, the motor off the back just looks a little out of place. But both beyond your control.
As-is nice picture.

Because of the time of year all the sailers were just getting the boats ready for winter so next year I will get those shots with a sail, it will be so much better, even if I have camp on the break wall all night.

If camping all night is the way to get a good picture then 'Thats what you have to do"

Nice shot. That wasn't a three hour tour, was it?
