it's ironic since apparently the agreement they make photographers sign is apparently insane. ie. getting fined $10,000 if you use the images for something other than who you're shooting for.

well, that's probably the point....they have far more $ than photogs for legal battles...

I have a feeling that someday one of the photographic associations will take on artists/promoters over accredited photographers being forced to sign unfair agreements that are in fact a restraint of trade and often signed under duress (sign this before you go in to photograph).

it is $15,000!!! or at least that's what i signed for the raconteurs

Did you sign your own name? I have taken the advice of a number of established photographers and use a fake name when signing a release/agreement presented to me just before a show.

it had to be signed and faxed back to publicist before the show.

signing a fake name sounds like a good idea, but i work closely with most of the bands i shoot and couldn't really get away with it.
