I've finally got it !!!!!!
My 10D arrived today and i'm well pleased !
It's everything I expected it to be, built like a tank, comfortable and the thing that puts the biggest smile on my face is the speed of the auto-focus !! I've upgraded from a G5 and the difference is astounding.
I've just got to work out how to use it properly, now.
I could of got it 3 months ago, but I made myself hold on until I could afford some lenses aswell. So hrer's my arsenal :
- Canon 10D
- Canon 50mm F1.4 USM
- Tamron 28-75mm Xr Di
- Canon 100-400mm L IS USM
Guess I should change my avatar ..........

Weeks ? "Weeks" is good my friend, the 100-400 is on my wish-list for about 6 months. Even now I can't see the "buy now" click in the near future ... :(

Well with what you have there and the replies you've had I think your in.
I have also just a few days a go a 10D having moved from film cameras, so it was just a case of getting the body, and hoping the lenes I allready had would work. Tried a few in the shop when I tried out the camera and all was well. :D
Still got my film bodies at the moment might trade them in, but stilll using both at the moment

hey, another Canon shooter!!!
welcome to the club :D , all you need to do next is to empty your bank account on all the juicy, big "L"s, possibly "1" series digital bodies, loads of CF cards, spare batteries, cleaning kit, mono/tripod, all kinds of filters to achieve the effects to enhance your photo, expensive software to make them even more attractive(or vice versa  ), and spend endless hours on this forum, or simply put it - your life ... oh, of course, tell new members exactly the same what i just said.
then you all set
