I thought this thru for a few months .. should I buy, or should I wait. I decided this week to grab one .. but then found I couldn't get one locally, so I grabbed a new one thru ebay from a reputable seller (someone I have used before). Paid US$1180 for the body .. also picked up a BG-ED3 and additional 511 battery. Should be here before the weekend. I have a 22-55 USM lens to put on it (one I use on my EOS) until I can afford the 17-40L USM lens I've always wanted .. one large expense at a time.

My advice is buy it now .. before you can only get it used.
