had some free time, so decided to try for VB again, i'm still looking around for a good position, because most of the time, the player in position 4 is always back tracking in order to come in for the kill. Whenever they backtrack, i get their behind in my frame and makes it hard to get the dig...
got only a few "good" ones.
feel free to comment ;)
Can anyone say Matrix???

Nice pictures. I like the group huddle, and Save #1 the best. Also, I like Set #1 (over #2), as player #4's arm in the second picture is blocking the face of the setter.
Can you post what lens you used for these pictures, along with your aperture and SS? Did you do any post processing or color correction? I've been doing a bit of VB snaps myself (I am really new to photography), and I've been noticing that the pictures I take are very yellowish. This is before processing, so I'm wondering what the best way to correct the color is.

thanx laton...
only pp done is levels and curves, but even the levels and curves are really really basic, open up the mid tone in level and about a 3-5 degree in curves.
shot jpg, with preset WB, temp is set to 5700K, had both the sigma and canon non IS 70-200 2.8
wide open at 2.8, iso 400-640, AV mode, 1 eye open, CF4 @ AF lock.... kneeling on my knees (note to self - get a freaking knee pad)
I can say that I'm pretty lucky in terms that my school's indoor lightning can let me push iso 400, f2.8 at around 1/200 - 1/500 SS
I figured that I will learn to catch the angel and timing first then later I'll worry about the color and what not.

Save#1 is the action shot you're almost always striving for.
Set #1 over #2 for reasons already mentioned
In "the Block" and the "one Handed tip" I'd say that you should have moved the composition to have included the opposition. It would give greater perspective to the action. Try to use a focus point other than the centre.
With jumping shots, seeing the feet and ground gives a better feeling of height that the crop you've got with net and cut below the knee. Having the ball in this shot would also have made it better.
on the whole... not bad at all.
