Canon 5D

Her composition is quite good.
Her processing can be a bit sloppy at times, IMO

I'm in agreement with Jarrad re composition and post processing... good yes... amazing no!

I am an amateur looking for ways to improve myself. Could you be more specific as where exactly this photographer is lacking? Can you point out the images and the flaws you see. To a lay person like me they look amazing, but your insight will help me look deeper.

As I said before, her composition is quite good.

I feel her masking in photoshop could be tighter. Lots of halos and poor tonal transitions. The rest is a matter of taste. In my opinion she pushes her contrast way too far in many images, but this is common in wedding photography. I think I see a pubic hair on the sensor in one (http://www.susanstriplingblog.com/images/content/_MG_1632.jpg) of the images. Many of the images would be improved by cropping, but most, if not all, are left in their native aspect ratio.

I think she's good. Wedding photography is tough to do well.

I think the composition and lighting is quite beautiful. Wow - now I see that hair. That is very bad, lol. I'd agree with her having a 5D and maybe a 50 1.4 and an 85L 1.2, but that's really hard to know and she's clearly a good photographer, so the gear may not make so much of the difference. That one bride was pretty brave with her dress!!!

My only comment would be in

this image (http://www.susanstriplingblog.com/images/content/_MG_8170_1.jpg) there is a person standing in the shaddows on the left

Other than that, her work is outstanding.

haha it sound like she is you and yor trying to get honest comments :D


i think she is pretty good. nothing spectacular though. Those trash the dress hsots are awesome though.
