First time shooting food! What do you guys think?

Its duck eggs and tofu.

I think the biggest problem here is that the dish is too deep and covers part of the food.
I would also chose a smaller aperture for extra DOF

I'm not sure I'd call that food . . .

If I had to do it, I would
1: bring the camera a bit down
2: push the aperture to f16 or so
3: use tripod and natural light
look for a bright background
but still these are just my own preferences and the shot is nice the way it is.
