I bought this "gadget" a week ago. I say gadget but it is really usefull and well built. I was anxious that I would not have enough space for the flash unit but it is ok. It works fine with the 430EX but I'm not sure about the 580EX which is taller.
Wood Duck. Images from 2 sessions at the marsh (Rebel XT and XTi, 300mm f/4L IS and 100-400L IS).

Anyone knows how to put the images directly in the post?!

Amazing shots, especially for ISO 800. Did you use Neat Image or something like it?

No noise reduction. Most of the shots are about 75% of the original framing so the resizing helps a lot to "hide" the noise. They were shot in RAW and post-processing with PS was minimal. I also didn't care about clipping the whites (highlights). If you underexpose this kind of shots at ISO 800, noise will raise rapidly. The backgrounds are not too dark which I think helps a lot. One last thing; the Rebel series is not that bad at managing noise. ;-)

Those are simply beautiful!! Love the nice contrast with the colorful ducks and subdued background also how the color the water reflect in the last shot matches the duck's eye ring! :)

Great shots... makes me think harder about getting one... the low angle is excellent... the only thing i have a problem with is the price, does anyone know of any off brand ones that work well??

Amazing shots, all of them. I've yet to even see a wood duck but I've seen lots of pictures of them, and these are probably the best yet. Excellent.

Excellent images...wonderful colors and of course angle.. I had been considering an angle finder for those up in the tree Owl shots that used to break my neck after an hour of watching and shooting...never thought of the other side of the coin..Could have used this " gadget " in a few instances lately where I could not get low enough because of terrain and or water..

Beautiful shots. I can't believe the sharpness. I do not think that my 100-400L is that good.
I was thinking of getting something like your gadget as arthritis in my neck leaves me with a day of pain if I spend a lot of time on my belly trying to get those shorebird shots.
cheers,

Beautiful shots and one of my favourite ducks! The first shot is my favourite, those soft subtle colours and reflection are superb!:)

Beautiful shots here Zwiz.
I have the older Angle Finder B but I haven't used it much. Looks like I'll have to get some practice if this is what you can do with it! ;)

I am ashamed to admit I don't usually even look at duck shots. I am so glad I checked out yours. These are beautifully done.
