I really like this photo, but there is something wrong/missing and I cannot seem to figure out what...any advise?

Like Bob said in another thread? What are you trying to tell with this image?

The first thing I notice is that the photo is uncomfortable to look at because it is rotated. Why did you rotate it?

I didn't rotate it the chair was like this, and I am trying to convey helplessness such as this chair which was once beautiful now being thrown away and grown over by weeds, and its overall state.
Here is a cropped image does thi help at all with the uncomfortable-ness since there is so much going on besides the chair?

It might just be me, but this image doesn't do much for me.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder :-) Don't be discouraged. Just because others cannot see does not mean it isn't there. :-)

The horizon seems rotated clockwise. For me, it seems a bit cluttered. I think there is potential to the setting though.

You ask what is missing.....IMO you would have a more powerful image if you got low and used a higher f stop to achieve more depth of field. What you are showing me in the existing image is part of a trashed chair against an out of focus background. It might actually have a lot more substance in color. This might be the rare subject that benefits from selective color. I think the greatest problem is the point of view.

clearly you don't appreciate the beauty of things that aren't the typical norm

I meant put your head on the ground. and shoot on a level more even with the subject.

I didn't go take more pictures yet, this is just another shot I found in my camera, but I would like to go take more pictures of it ad I will certianly use your advise since I believe it's more then 'just a chair'

sure i do! but not this chair. now if it was a classic chair, like a rocking chair overturned on a porch or such.
hey, i like the concept, just not the subject type.

Bah, I like it okay. Just shoot it.... with some of the suggestions made above in mind!

What comes to mind for me is your subject in focus in the image is hard to discern what it even is. It's kinda hard to see what's going on and the point.

I think it would have been better if you had more contrast between the light and dark parts of the picture.

it's an improement - can you get tere again and shoot from lot s of angles.
I get the idea you're after but you need to really explore oit more - it's digital go crazy - no film to pay for!
Seriously do experiment more with differnet composition, in these two you haven't really nailed the composition to express what you're after yet;):D
