These cost 10-15% of a Pocket Wizard.
Would you use them?
Do you use them?

Cheers Tim, I did see both those threads before. Jamiewexlers in particular caught my eye, but I hadn't noted he was using the V2's.
It's a no-brainer. I will order a set and try them out. then I'll actually be 'off-camera' as opposed to 'off-camera cord'!

thanks Mike
Just looking for some re-assurance!
It's not the money..... just need to know that they work.
I'm all for DIY, innovation ,and/or cheaper methods of doing things!
But I draw the line at tupperware - I was a tupperware child - "get to your bed!" - I can still hear the popping of plastic lids as I was locked in the coal cupboard.....

I just got my set saturday. Took just a week (from Hong Kong) to get here. I've played with them a little, gonna use them on a shoot this week. Seem to work pretty well, definitely frees you to do a few more things.

As did I...
I've been needing off camera flash for a while now. I'm hoping that it'll be here in time for my last two weddings of the season coming up in a couple weeks.

I have the V2 Cactus....it works well with my old Braun Variozoom flash but it doens't play well with my Canon 430EX. When used with the Canon, it does not trigger consistently, it often fires the flash twice with one press. Basically, it's a PITA.
On my old flash, it works perfectly.

 with the recycle time of the 430 you should still be OK.
I'd send it back .. the V2 was designed to eliminate the misfires experienced with V1 and Canon flashes.

I have a set....they are not completely consistant with firing my 430 or 580 - fire properly about 8 out of 10 times. For doing weddings, I would think you would want the flash to fire 10 out of 10 times since you only get one chance in some cases.
